On May 16, a career fair was held at the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction with the partnership of “Kristal,” “PAŞA İnşaat,” “PMD Projects,” and nearly 80 other public and private institutions.

According to Qafqazinfo, the fair offered over 600 job vacancies and internship opportunities for more than 3,000 young participants.

At the opening ceremony, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of “Kristal,” Mahayyat Nabiyev, also delivered a speech. In his address, he highlighted the importance of the high-level energy policy being implemented in our country, particularly in relation to the “COP29” international conference, and emphasized the initiatives carried out by “Kristal” in this direction:

“As President Ilham Aliyev has stated, the development of green energy sources and their export to global markets is currently the top priority of our energy policy. One of the great achievements of this priority is that our country will host “COP29” in 2024—another major victory for President Ilham Aliyev.
To contribute to the successful reforms such as declaring the liberated territories a ‘Green Energy’ zone, we at “Kristal” are launching new projects. For example, in our unique “City Garden Narimanov” residential complex with 17 hectares of green space, solar panels are being installed for alternative energy use.
Each block in this complex will feature an innovative heating system designed to combine gas and solar collectors, serving that specific block. This system is expected to meet 30–32% of heating demand and 70–75% of hot water demand, resulting in a 38–40% reduction in overall gas consumption.”

He further stated that all necessary infrastructure—such as a shopping mall, school, kindergarten, fitness center, swimming pool, and other service facilities—has been integrated within the project. The aim is to reduce fuel consumption and harmful gas emissions by ensuring residents can meet their daily needs within the complex:

“We pay close attention to such factors when designing our residential complexes. Additionally, in all our projects, building façades are insulated with special materials that meet innovative requirements.
This insulation system, based on modern technological solutions, can reduce gas demand by up to three times. For example, heating and supplying hot water to a non-insulated 70 m², two-room apartment may require energy worth about 60 AZN, whereas in an insulated apartment, this would drop to only 18–20 AZN.
The reduction in demand and expenses also lowers the emission of harmful gases into the atmosphere by up to threefold. Moreover, this insulation system reduces the amount of electricity needed to cool apartments in the summer.”

Finally, Mahayyat Nabiyev emphasized the positive impact of using innovative energy technologies on national gas export revenue:

“The innovative solutions we apply not only reduce residents' expenses and environmental damage but also contribute directly to increasing revenue from gas exports.
Based on the figures given earlier, an insulated 100-apartment building can save 40,000 m³ of gas per month, amounting to 4,000 AZN in domestic savings ((60–20)*100). This saved gas, when exported at a market rate of 550 AZN per 1,000 m³, generates approximately 22,000 AZN in additional monthly revenue.
Therefore, we can confidently say that constructing just one insulated 100-apartment building directly contributes 22,000 AZN per month to gas export revenue.”

The career fair continued with speeches from other representatives of state and private enterprises, who emphasized the importance of such events in fostering deeper connections between higher education institutions and the industry, and in expanding graduates' career prospects.
